COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

This beer smells strongly of bananas. It has a malty taste and tastes more like beer than you expect from the taste. A very unique beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

No início achei fraca. Tem um toque marcante de banana. Quando arminizei com uma pizza simples ficou ótima

Draft at Moriartys. Appears to the the pasteurized bottle version. Came in a tall Banana Bread flute glass which looks quite odd. Clear amber brown. Soft off-white foam. Does indeed taste a bit like banana bread thouse with a lot of Band-Aid notes. Darkly sweet. Some spicy rye. Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Golden Delicious apples. Flavors feel artificial.

I am quite literally, bananas, for this beer. Do take the time to drink it from a proper beer glass (drinking this in the bottle though tastey won’t open the full range of flavors). You’d expect a beer named for a banana bread to be cloyingly sweet, however, this offers a nice balanced savory note with a hint of banana and a very well rounded complexity. Not too sweet, not too tart, not too bitter. This beer is fabulous. It’s my new, go-to beer. When others taste too bitter, too sweet, too --- anything. Well’s Banana Bread Beer tastes like absolutely heaven (and the grocer says it’s been very popular-- others must agree).

Bottle 500 ml from supermarket in Budapest. Pours orange with white head. Malty sweetish banana aroma. Caramel flavor with hint of banana. Expected more banana flavor. Light bodied and watery. Bit artificial.

Though the mouthfeel and appearance are ok, the flavor is way too artificial. Not my piece of cake, I prefer a slice of real banana bread instead of drinking this.

Bottle, pours golden with a small white head, tastes of caramel and bread with a hint of banana. Average.

Poured from bottle. Dark caramel color with 1/2" head, which dissipated in a minute or two. Aroma is mainly banana coupled with yeast or dough. There’s more such as maybe a note of sweet caramel(?), but I don’t believe this was an attempt at a nuanced beer. Tastes immediately of bananas, with a moderate hit of carbonation. This quickly gives way to a wave of nutty, earthy, malty goodness. Fades abruptly to a dry, sweet, vanilla-dominated afterglow. Very good beer. Put the components together, and it tastes very much like banana bread. Prefer this to my mother’s banana bread because it has the added effect of getting me drunk. :)

This beer tastes like banana Bread to me, which is what is in the name of the beer. I find it very enjoyable. I like it. Not to sure about the clear bottle tho.

Pours a clear mahogany color with plenty of bubbles and a foamy white head. Has a nice aroma of banana bread. Taste is a little less enjoyable. Ripe banana is the most prominent flavor, but the banana is more candy-like than fruit. Has a creamy feel, with a very small amount of bitterness to prevent this from being too sweet. Finish also has lots of carbonation, which makes this feel more like a pop, such as Vernor’s. This is okay, but also makes feel a bit sick to my stomach.
