2.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Being a huge banana fan I was definitely excited to try this beer. It was very, very disappointing. The aroma is definitely heavy banana with some spice undertones. Body is extremely thin and carbonated to the point of negatively affecting the taste. If this beer was a well made stout, porter or even a brown ale with a fuller body it would probably be delicious. Instead it tastes like a Bud with a banana jammed into the top of the bottle.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sampled at Forest City in CT. Appears dark gold with a clear body and large head. Aroma of banana cream pie and fine sugar. This beer starts with sweet malt and ripe banana but comes unraveled by the mid-palate, which is a watery, minerally, and semi-bitter mess. Finishes with slight bitterness and hardly any lasting impression.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Freddy. Pours a brown color with a small beige head that quickly diminishes to a fine film. The nose is deceptive with banana, spices and then is followed something chemically with cooked vegetables. The taste, like the aroma, gives a good first impression; there is banana, allspice, and cinnamon, but then gives way to nail polish remover. The mouthfeel is a bit thin. The finish is dry and shows chemical off-flavors. Overall: I had great expectations of this beer, I love banana bread, but this brew just did not deliver. I also take issue with the fact that a 5.2 abv beer is a strong ale.

Bottle. Clear amber with white head. Well, it tastes bananas :-) Interesting experiment but maybe not that good. It is not bad, refreshing and quite thin body. Is it really an ale?

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle shared by emacgee. As he noted, this beer smells like runts banana candy. Kinda tastes like that too. Not a very good concept beer. A beer that tastes like banana bread might be good but this doesn’t even come close to that.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
The beer poured a light golden color with a frothy white head. Smelled like you’d expect heavy banana and yeasty wheat. Tastes the same. Not for me. just has nothing better going for it other than tricking me into buying it when really what i wanted was a slice of grandmas banana bread...

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
500ml clear glassed bottle. A dark golden beer with a cream-white head. Banana syrup dominates the aroma with a light malt presence. Taste is not overly sweet but somehow feels artificial reminding me of juicyfruit chewing gum. Minimal hop bitterness to the finish. Palate is slick and lightish bodied with a low carbonation. This is a rather feminine beer that doesn’t appeal to my taste.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle thanks to Brian. What a treat. Pours an amber body with some head. Aroma is banana runts. Mouthfeel is bland and boring, really not much banana in the flavor.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
500ml bottle. Looks pretty good, deep gold with some white head. Smell is bananas and malt with a little spice so that’s on track. Body is decent for a mass produced beer, no complaints. The taste starts off fine, banana, a little sweetness, some bread and spice but then it happens. About 3 drinks in I get this metallic/chemical not-quite-bitterness as an aftertaste. Must be the "steely dryness". Drinking more only made it worse. Poured out the rest of the bottle and tried to get the taste out with cheap domestic beer. Failed. Tried some rum, partial success. Taste was still lingering in the back of my mouth the next day.
