COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2003 Sweet banana start, quite malty (and yes, bready) flavour. Slightly burnt finish. Kind of reminded me of banana bread with burnt crust.

The artificial banana aroma, exactly like a cheap kidsí sweet, is the worst thing about this. Why canít flavour scientists produce something more convincing? The taste, in which the banana isnít so overpowering, is quite pleasant and malty, though it could be a bit more bitter.

Pours a three finger cream head that fades slowly leaving a trace of lace. Chrystal clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Strong banana nose. Starts as a malty/hop mix but then the banana flavor kicks in, a strange soapy banana aftertaste. $4.09 for a 19.25oz bottle from Johnís Market Place Tigard, Or.

568ml bottle from Asda. Chestnut colour wth thin off white head. Banana and yeast aroma. Bit bubblegummy. This doesnít really develop in the mouth. Too bananery and tastes of kids sweets. Some hop on end. Bit empty and boiled sweet in mouth. Not as good as cask and not something I would buy again.

Bottle. Amber colour with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma is mostly ripe bananas. Flavour of hops and bananas which doesnít mix very good. Medium bitterness.

Iím fond of bananas, but bananas in beer? Iíve already had a polish one which was terrible! This one however is much better. Aromas of banana, some malt and some light hoppiness. First taste is sweet with lots of banana and bubblegum, later on it gets better, more caramel, some licorice(?) and some malt, some light bitterness. Finishes long, fruity and a little bitter. Wouldnít buy it again though...strange!

Bottle, 0,5l. The color is nice brown. The head is white. The arome is like a banana bonbon. Sweet. The flavor follows right after with a sweet banana taste. A special beer, more special than good.

Smells like banana bread. Taste like banana bread. Really, though, itís much better than I anticipated. The 2 oz. sample was enough though.

500ml bottle. Pours orange clear though. Head is about a finger deep with a tan color. Nose smells a lot like what Iíd expect from Banana Bread. Taste is sweet and light and tastes a bit like banana but overall its a big bowl of ehh for me. Guess this could have lasted longer since i tried this but that said ainít seeking this out again.
