Iím drinking this beer as I write this lol. The aroma is extremely strong, yet sweet, the scent of banana hits you immediately as you open the bottle. Itís appearance is a golden brown, with a small head when poured into a glass. In my opinion it is too fizzy to drink from the bottle, itís much easier to drink wen left in the fridge open for an hour or so, but thats my opinion. The flavour is strong, and after a while can become sickly, but still enjoyable for a once in a while drink -- I cant see myself drinking bottle after bottle of this. Either way, I highly rec. this drink to anyone who wishes to try new ales.

What a delight! I passed the pint around the household. They all tried it and they all loved it. What is it precisely? I donít have to say that this little beer is just perfectly crafted, round, sweet, malty and ripe. But it couldnít be just a flavour of fresh bananas, for fresh bananas are not THAT nice. Of course they are free trade, how magnanimously correct of W&Y, but fresh bananas usually donít have that sweet, fruity flavour. This is more like chewing gum. Itís one of those combined fruit-flavours of Juicy Fruit chewing gum, the William Wrigley Company ones. Thatís probably why everyone likes it. It is a firm flavour and it does not fade away as chewing gum does, invariably ending up tasting like saliva. The flavour in Banana Bread stays. It must be the beer version of the Everlasting Gobstoppers. Right, they do mention banoffee. Well, Iíd say itís banana cake. Yes, a delicious banana cake, curvy, perfumed and cosy, teasing the senses and seducing the palate. Perhaps one of those Nigella Lawson recipes. There you go! Thatís the reason why everyone loves the seduction of this beer.

Bottle - let me just say, I LOVE BANANA so I may be a little biased. Pour is a see thru amber with almost no head. Smelled the bottle when I opened and I fell in love. Great sweet banana aroma. The taste is everything I expected and more. I was hoping it wasn't overly sweet and it wasn't at all. Great crisp finish with a bready banana loveliness.. Overall, I could drink this anytime of year and love it 9/10!

Iím a sucker for this delicious beer. The light banana on the aroma and taste is balanced to perfection. Has a decent amount of bitterness and hoppiness to make this sessionable.

Poured from bottle. Dark caramel color with 1/2" head, which dissipated in a minute or two.
Aroma is mainly banana coupled with yeast or dough. Thereís more such as maybe a note of sweet caramel(?), but I donít believe this was an attempt at a nuanced beer.
Tastes immediately of bananas, with a moderate hit of carbonation. This quickly gives way to a wave of nutty, earthy, malty goodness. Fades abruptly to a dry, sweet, vanilla-dominated afterglow.
Very good beer. Put the components together, and it tastes very much like banana bread. Prefer this to my motherís banana bread because it has the added effect of getting me drunk. :)

2008 bottle. Could smell the banana more than I could taste it. The banana flavor hits you a bit in the back of the tongue. Calling it "banana bread" beer is probably a bit of a misnomer, but it is a very likable beer. No overly strong, or intense flavors.

1 pt. bottle. I didnít figure the English for a banana beer. A copper color with a solid white head which fades pretty quickly. The smell is a dead ringer for banana runts. Some bread and spice notes as well. Low carbonation with a light mouthfeel. The taste is like a loaf of banana bread, including the spice. Hints of clove and cinnamon are there too. A solid bitterness in the back helps round things out. Pretty clean finish considering all thatís going on. While I wouldnít want to drink it all night long, it is something out of the ordinary that is well put together. I would definitely have this beer again.
