COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Bottle. The pour was a clear medium copper amber with a large (2-3 finger) white frothy head which receded to a thin film with a medium collar and produced somewhat fair sheets of lacing. The aroma was exactly like the name implies "Banana Bread" with a light bread malt, a sweet doughy yeast and a large dose of bananas. The taste was lightly malty sweet with a light hint of bananas throughout with a slight bitter banana taste at the end. The flavor lasted an average duration proceeding the swallow and was all about the mild banana bread taste. Mouthfeel was light in body with a watery very mildly dry texture and a medium carbonation. Overall this beer taste some what like described, a mild bitter banana bread. Although it was a bit weaker and much lighter in flavor than the aroma suggested…

Copenhagen 27/6 2014. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Drawing of beer peeking up from banana peel on the label. Pours clear amber with white head. Head disappears fairly fast after pouring. Aroma is sweetish with (not surprisingly) banana and a little caramel. A more sour and tart edge to it as well. Prickly carbonation and slightly thick palate. Taste is sweet but followed by fruity sourness. Surprisingly balanced considered the Banana theme. I did not have many expectations to the happy beer peeking from the banana peel - but quite ok.

Pours a clear dark amber with a thin off white head. Sweet aroma with a hint of banana. Taste is somewhat artificial and candy like. Watery and thin but not too bad.

Banany królują w smaku i zapachu, do tego dochodzi solidna słodowa podbudowa. Mimo tego nie zabija słodyczą, goryczka wyrównuje doznania. Wybitnie pijalne i wciągające. W wyglądzie kolor miedziany z utrzymującą się białą średnią pianą. Mimo zdominowania przez banany zachowuje charakter piwa. Całkiem niezłe

Bottle. Pours golden with small white head. Aroma: sour and sweet, banana, sulphur, hay, sugar- but mostly banana. Taste: sweetish, dry hay, citrus, medium bitterness coming up, grass. Up to medium body. Bitter finish. Half litre is to much but its interesting.

Gyönyörű, rézszínű ital, közepes, tartós habbal. Illata a sült banánra emlékeztet.

Wife bought this as she is constantly making banana bread. This does taste like banana bread, which I do enjoy. Strange drinking it. Not sure if I would buy it myself, but will be happy to finish a couple that my wife won't drink.

330 mL bottle shared with ebone1988. Fuck this book. The pour is a am dry golden pour with a thin bubbly collar of gray head and almost no lace. The aroma is almost puréed bananas. There is a sweet malt, but this smells like fucking banana flavored Laffy Taffy. That’s not okay. The flavor is all banana. There is a light metallic malt and strong banana. It’s definitely not good. It could be a lot worse, but it’s very singular dimensional and plain. It’s sweet, metallic, and banana Laffy Taffy. The mouth feel is terrible. It’s really thin and watery with hardly any carbonation and a lingeringly banana dominated finish. This beer sucks. I’m not sure how it’s considered a beer, more than a banana flavored malt water. Jesus.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Strong aroma of banana (surprise!). Orange/copper beer with thin white head. A few lazy bubbles. Thin body, slightly zingy. The finish is more banana with a touch of grainy maltiness. Not as much fun as you think it might be.

On pour got a very fizzy drink, a lot of carbonation. When it settled down a decent sized frothy head appeared, looked decent. Head looks good, nice and creamy looking. Head does die a little and there is some slight lacing. The colour was dark amber, with a tint of red, and overall the beer looks the part….. The aroma is of…..well, bananas! Lovely clear, fruity smell, gorgeous, and I dont even like bananas, ha ha! Strong but not overpowering, very pleasant and very tempting. Smells of banana bread, with a hint of toffee…… Taste: Well it does exactly what it says on the tin, its all banana A beer with banana, tastes like beer with banana! But its lovely, very smooth, doesn’t taste a lot like beer at all. Very sweet, but still smooth enough to drink. A bit of caramel noted as well. At first I thought the alcohol content of 5.2% wasn’t apparent, but I think it does kick in near the end. Everyone in the house had a try, went down a storm, all liked it. There is a slight hoppy aftertaste that is a bit urgh, and it could do with more body, but overall very smooth. It is different, so hats off to the brewers for trying something new, refreshing and all good. I am not sure you could down a lot of these in a session, but definitely would be great to sip on a hot day. Recommended, and looking forward to trying this beer out again soon.
