Jan 4, 2003 A beutiful chestnut brown beer with a fine ligth brown head. The aroma is dominated by banana. The flavor is first banana, then malt sweet, then back to banana, then a nice bitterness, and ending on a long lingering banana note. A great balance and a great complexity in the flavor. A fine and very special beer.

Aug 26, 2002 Dark amber. Big banana aroma. Rather sweet, really malty with lingering banana flavour. An interesting experiment, and well carried out.

Dec 11, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) 5.5% ABV in my version. Clear, deep copper colour with a small, off-white head. Nose full of banana. Flavours full of banana, but not stickingly sweet as in other (Belgian) examples of the style. This is quite dry, almost lacking a hint of sweetness. Light bitter finish. Very drinkable. 220902

Clear amber coloured with a medium sized off white head.
Aroma of bananas and grass.
Flavour of bananas with notes of grass and hops.
Hoppy finish.
Not as cloying as the other banana beers I’ve had, but bananas and beers are a bad combination !
