500 ml clear bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear orange gold with small white head. Light grassy/floral nose with a touch of skunkiness (thanks clear bottle) present. Taste is mostly grassy with bit of honeyish sweetness and a bitter, slightly woody finish. Not great but I’d like to try it other than in a clear bottle.

Bottle. Dark gold with a small head. Aromas are caramel malts with citrus. Toasty with clean hops. Flavours are biscuit and toast malts with sweet hay. Citrus marmalade with gritty grain. Has something of the Marsons bottled beers about it - sweet caramel-like flavours are misplaced. Doesn’t deserve to have the Bombardier monicker.

Bottle (from Sainsburys). Slight sulphur. Mild leafy hops and dry malt body. Uninteresting but fairly drinkable especially for a pasteurised bottle.

Pedestrian in some respectives but a good honest quaffer. Nice glowing apricot-orange in the glass. A midly sweet, faintly fruity nose doesn’t give much away. The flavours are much as expected although I quite liked the may the palate weight gradually built up and thicken. Some mild hop bitterness to finish but otherwise unremarkable. A fews over the BB but no worse off as a result.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a fast disappearing white head. Malty slightly dusty hoppy aroma. Sweet malty and slightly fruity flavor with bitter hop hints. Malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

nice golden pour, aroma is english hops, and some sweet malt. The hops are quite subdued for what i like in a bitter, to me they should be more pronounced. Flavour is slightly hoppy, and quite grassy. Overall a pretty dumbed doown bitter, not bad, but not great.

Imperial pint bottle from Sainsburys. Golden colour with an off-white head; slightly musty hop aroma; rather thin and flinty in the mouth, with a dry finish.

I tried this beer on July 11, 2008 at “Smokeless Joe’s” in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a dark translucent gold colour, with orange hues, with a thin white head. The aroma was mainly grassy malts with some hoppish tones. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium carbonation. The flavour was grainy malt, some citrusy tones, and a small tinge of hoppish bitterness.
