Better than expected golden ale. Quite sweet but not overly cloying, a little toffee and a hint of fruit and hops. A refreshing beer and one I probably wouldn’t object to drinking again.

Bottle @ Bedford Arms (jazz night!) standard golden brown with a bit of carbonation but almost no head. Slight aroma of caramel, metal and candy corn. Taste is a classic bittersweet, a bit bland but slips down nicely. Tickly carbs add to an otherwise weak mouthfeel. Not one of Charlie Wells’ more adventurous recipes.

Clear golden, wink of a fading head. Sugary nose, odd dankness. Dusty hob nob rich sweet biscuity taste. Finishes clean, listless and sternly malty. Not great, oddly drinkable nonetheless. Very simple stuff.

Pours a clear medium yellow with a dense white head. The smell is tart fruit, green apple, grain, bread. The taste is crisp fruit, bread, dry crisp finish. The body is light and the carbonation is fine and smooth.

Väldigt lätt och klen öl med låg humle, kort eftersmak med en doft som påminner om lättöl

500 ml bottle bought in Carrefour Arkadia, Warsaw, Poland. Malty taste, very smooth. Grainy and malty palate with some yeast nutes and ideal malty finish. White, medium thick head stays for circa one minute on top. Golden colour. A solid beer.

Bring me my Bow of burning gold; Bring me my Arrows of desire: Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold! Bring me my Chariot of fire! If it wasn’t for William Blake, this dry, golden beer would be much more boring. I wish it had been brewed in those dark satanic mills.

(Bottle): Pours amber with a very light, white head. Aroma of sweet malts, fruits and hits of caramel and citrus. Moderately flavoursome, some malt, caramel, nuts with slight hints of bread and citrus coming through on the finish. Good balance between bitter and sweet.
