[ As Wells Bombardier Burning Gold (Cask) ].
Clear medium orange yellow color with a small average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.

Cask at the Allied Arms, Reading. Burnished gold with a moderate white head. Rather thin, watery and bland up front, but a lasting dry floral hop finish makes it better than it deserves to be. Still not great though.

On cask at the Haymarket.
Appearance - golden with a proportionate head.
Nose - slightly dirty lemon thing.
Taste - big lemon yeasty tang. Light earthy in the background.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry but slightly astringent finish.
Overall - a bit unbalanced.

On tap at Kings Head Llandudno. Slight hop nose. Golden beer with solid thin white head. Thin bitter mouthfeel. Chalky bitter finish. Long malt ending with lemon hints. Delicious, moreish.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Straw coloured with a thin white head; biscuity aroma; biscuity taste with some sour orchard fruit; and a sweet biscuity finish. A rather bland golden ale.

Cask at the Castle Tavern, Richmond. Medium white head. Gold body. Hops. banana, spice. Bittersweeet and tangy. Dry finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good, drinkable stuff.
