Cask by hand-pump at Bon Accord, Glasgow - clear golden amber, good creamy off-white head, weak malty aroma, very good lacing, sweet, smooth, nicely balanced, very easy to drink

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2014 Cask @ Foresters Arms, Bedford. Very faint aroma: some hop but mostly unidentifiable grain and butter. A metallic note, like extra hard water. Reasonable bittersweet taste, refreshing although there isn’t much to it. This is very unimaginative but drinkable. Below the standard I’d expect from Wells and Young.

Aroma: light malty, bread, cereals, some caramel. Appearance: clear gold, small white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: light malty sweets, some bread, light bitters coming up, but overall boring. Overall: OK Golden Ale, but struggles to stand out. Pint at Paxtons Head, Knightsbridge.

Cask at the Brickmakers, Windlesham, 18/05/14. Clear light golden with a well appointed white head that retains well. Nose is pale malt, light citrus, hint of peach, floral notes. Taste comprises light caramel, grass, lemon jus, bread dough. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying bitter notes in the close. Ok Golden Blonde, not unpleasant, Fuggles and Goldings so the hops aren’t really coming through like other beers in this style.

9th May 2014 hand-pulled pint in The Park Hotel, Wellington Shropshire. Light golden brew with a good white crown. Slightly more hoppy than malty, a pleasant enough beer without setting the world alight, better than the bottled version IMHO. Nice blend.

On cask at white cross inn, Huddersfield . Pours golden with white head. Not much going on here and certainly not one to have again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask @ The Clarendon, Leicester. Watery 'golden ale' which is bland. It's for lager drinkers to have a bit of cask. But like not as crisply refreshing as lager or owt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

10th November 2008. Clear gold beer. ’Burning’ as in a little smoky right? After the smoky shock of the start there is a crispy fruit beer here. Peach, orange and the ubiquitous grapefruit. Cuts through the slight smoke easliy! Not bad at all!

Clear amber of color with an off white head. A pretty ordinary aroma of hops and bisquit. A flavor of citrus, bitter and dry.
