COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Special for Wetherspoons;
Ingredients: Water from the brewery well; ’Maris Otter’ malt (crushed, not ground); Fuggles and Goldings hops, sampled by hand.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Straw coloured with a thin white head; biscuity aroma; biscuity taste with some sour orchard fruit; and a sweet biscuity finish. A rather bland golden ale.

On tap at Kings Head Llandudno. Slight hop nose. Golden beer with solid thin white head. Thin bitter mouthfeel. Chalky bitter finish. Long malt ending with lemon hints. Delicious, moreish.

Yachtsman Tavern, Woolston, Southampton. Fairly thin and uninteresting blonde ale. A little vinegary - possibly not fresh, but also could be the style. Not a beer I’d like to try again but it’s drinkable.

On Tap in London. Pours hazy golden with white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus fruit, bready malt and yeast. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is of earthy, herbal hops, bready malt, some salt and green apples. Finish is long and earthy. Good session brew.
