10th November 2008. Clear gold beer. ’Burning’ as in a little smoky right? After the smoky shock of the start there is a crispy fruit beer here. Peach, orange and the ubiquitous grapefruit. Cuts through the slight smoke easliy! Not bad at all!

Clear amber of color with an off white head. A pretty ordinary aroma of hops and bisquit. A flavor of citrus, bitter and dry.

Cask @ The Pommeller’s Rest, JDW. Bermondsey SE1. Pours a clear golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy aroma. Fruity malty slightly hoppy citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish.

Cask in the new crown. Alround rating: Typical golden/blonde ale, honey sweet pale malts, little hop character, slightly floral, boring.

Cask handpull at Folkestone JDW. Gold, lasting beige head. Looks and in terms of mouthfeel in good nick. Just a little dusty and dull in terms of flavours. Some stinging dryness on finish. Shame as in amazing condition. Lovely lacing just a bit dull and stale malt.

Cask, Lord keeper of the Great Seal, Oadby . Golden with an off white head. Aromas are thin biscuit malts. Dusty with dry hops. Flavours are thin malts with sugar. Nothing going on here. Really poor.

Handpulled cask at JDW Watford. Gold with short lived suddy white head. Mass produced amber fluid of undescribable mediocrity.

A Mes rate: cask at Baker Street ’Sporks.
Semi hazy gold, pointless white film topping. Bland as hell caramel malt and crying out for some hops. Inoffensive but mind numbingly dull.
