Ingredients: Water from the brewery well; ’Maris Otter’ malt (crushed, not ground); Fuggles and Goldings hops, sampled by hand.

[ As Wells Bombardier Burning Gold (Cask) ].
Clear medium orange yellow color with a small average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140813]

Cask at the Allied Arms, Reading. Burnished gold with a moderate white head. Rather thin, watery and bland up front, but a lasting dry floral hop finish makes it better than it deserves to be. Still not great though.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - slightly dirty lemon thing. Taste - big lemon yeasty tang. Light earthy in the background. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry but slightly astringent finish. Overall - a bit unbalanced.
