Amber and clear, frothy yellowish head. Ash, humus, some lemon. Pretty nice actually. Bit dry taste. Soft body, could use more alcohol for sure. (Pint)

Appearance- amber, very clear, half finger persisting foamy white head which lasts pretty much throughout. Aroma- toffee and caramel, nutty, raisiny. Taste- smooth and malty, little bit creamy, medium mouthfeel, toffee hints, roast chestnut, caramel, slight fruit, some malt. Fruitcake and chewy toffee in the finish. Very nice.

Drought. Dark amber with small beige creamy head, slight caramel aroma, caramel-berry taste, abrupt finish with roasted malt taste at the end. Nice bitter.

Typique anglaise de pub. Légère et minérale, amertume modérée, arômes de malts en fin de dégustation. Très bonne dans sa catégorie.

Backlog. Cask at Green Lion Inn. A stable example of the style, nothing that lifts your eyebrows though.

Tried at a plastic pub attached to a premier inn. Surprisingly bad beer, Overly carbonated. Watery and almost tasteless.

SlackerMads (1259) - DENMARK - MAR 17, 2014
Clear light brown with a small white head. Aroma is medium malty (dark toasted bread, straw) and medium hoppy (grass, wooden, earthy, nutty). Medium sweet and bitter, starts off soft and sweet but finishes light dry. Not bad.

cask@Pied Bull, Streatham (9/3/2014) - pours amber with medium white head. Aroma and taste is caramel malty, toffee, nutty, not as good as I remembered from years back but still decent enough for a easy to find bitter.

AshtonMcCobb (2119) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 10, 2014
On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance -golden to amber with a nice head. Nose - apples and biscuits. Taste - creamy toffee with the sour apples finishing it off. Palate - nice integration of fruit and malt favours. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a well balanced bitter. Greater than the sum of its parts.

Cask at Heathrow. Clean amber with a thin head. Aroma is nutty malt. Flavor is mellow fruit, some dried fruit on a dry malty finish.
