On tap in London and at Norrlands Nation, Uppsala (Sweden) - tasted the same at both places, so Iím putting the same review in for the export and non-export versions. Nice and dark, creamy almost brown ale, but bitter and fruity. Great fruity aroms, very impressive overall.

Dark beer with a coffee and chocolate aroma. Slightly bitter and a slightly burnt flavour. Palatable, a nice English ale.

mild pleasant hoppy aroma, dark brown hue, moderate frothy head gradually dissipating, average lacing, pleasant hoppy taste, not that much bitterness for a "bitter"

12oz on tap. Poured dark amber with full head. Bitter but smooth very enjoyable one of the best bitters

Chestnut brown with medium head, light carbonation for a real easy not to strong with a hoppy finnish beer.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2005 This. Was. A fantastic beer. Rich and solid, the kind of beer you want at a pub. Tasty. Had it at (the Wellington Arms?) a pub right near UCL, near the west side of Russell Square, London.
