Draft... Clear, dark amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Fantastic retention. I couldn’t quite figure out the nose, although it’s very pleasant. I’ll throw a few things out there like cereal grains, figs, dates, light caramel and chocolate malts and a touch of honey. Light to medium-bodied and creamy with gentle carbonation. Subtle flavors of medium to darkly roasted malts with more than a hint of apple. Finishes up watery and a bit bland. Nice session beer.

Bottle one pt. 3.25 oz. Pours a thin tan head of long duration, over a clear coppery brown body.....nose of bread, malts, bit of molasses and non floral hops....tastes of dry malts initially, then a gradually building mild hop bitterness, which is nicely balanced by complex malts....mouthfeel is medium and creamy. A pleasant brew, with an overall impression of malt richness.

Draft at British Beer Co in Natick. Pours a copper bronzish color with a small white head. Head recedes and the body is bubbly. Nose is hoppy with a hint of some biscuit notes. Palate is fizzy but somewhat nice. Flavors are light hops, biscuits, hints of sweet malt.

Great amber color. Light body. Aroma is sweet and fruity as is the flavor. Great session beer. Wonderful compliment to a greasy, spicy lunch.

I’m rating according to what it is, which is a session ale and not an attention grabbing showstopper. This was one of the fruitiest beers I’ve ever had. Really nice aroma. The body is light and the beer is lightly sweet from the malt. This would perhaps be better with a touch more hops, but I actually dug this beer.

Amber orange, nut-brown color. Stable hazel / off-white head with good lacing, good retention. Caramel, bready aroma. Medium body, smooth texture, lively carbonation. Mild sweet toffee flavor with subtle dried banana hints. Intense grassy hop finish.

(11/21/08) Darught at The Map Room in Chicago. Deep reddish-copper color with a medium beige head. Aroma of lots of nuts, some toast, caramel and earthy hints. Sweet malty flavor with caramel ,bready notes and light bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied. Really malty for a Bitter.

Nice dark red colour, thick head which lasts for a little while. Aroma of hops and fruit. Hints of sweet caramel at the tip of the tongue, some burnt malt at the end, hops and dry bitter finish. Medium carbonation. Pretty decent beer.
