568 ml, bottled 12-31-07. Dark reddish copper brew with a creamy long lasting head that leaves a nice frosting behind. Earth-spice caramel apple nose. Flavor follows with toffee and apple-grape mix tempered well by some peppery, woody herbs. Light-medium body is smooth, slightly tingly, and dry.

Clear deep red/ brown in colour with a long-lasting but thin beige coloured head. Nice lacing. Medium bodied with low to average carbonation. Sweet and fruity flavours with some nice bitterness. Crisp and bitter finish. Enjoyable. - 568 ml brown bottle.

Serviceable I guess. Not much on the aroma. A hint of malt, but no hops aroma at all. Flavor is pretty bland. Doesn’t linger in the mouth. Doesn’t bring any flavor to the forefront. . . doesn’t bring much flavor at all. Sort of reminds me of drinking brown water.

568ml bottle: deep amber under a creamy beige head. Aromas of fruit, toffee and crystal malts. Roasted, earthy flavours with notes of raisin, caramel and spice. Long dry-bitter end.

very sweet malty aroma.... little hop presence, but quite a bit of maltiness, and a huge amount of sweet caramel malts... Good mouthfeel... sweet finish with mild mild bitterness

568 ml bottle from the LCBO. pours a nice deep reddish brown with a mid sized tan head. some caramel from the crystal malt is all i get for the aroma. no trace of hops. nice sweet malty flavours but there is really nothing much going on with this one. again the lack of hops is somewhat dissapointing. bland and mediocure but it does get a bonus point for that extra 68mls in the bottle!

Clear red color with a decent head. Nutty brown aroma. Taste is bland with a bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Medium sized frothy, fizzy tan head that mostly diminished, spotty amounts of lacing, transparent, carbonation observed, and an orange-reddish hue. Nose was malty, mildly hoppy and a hint of toffee. Ditto for the flavor without any hint of toffee. Tingly mouthfeel and medium in body. Easy drinking beer, has English character to it and decent for the style.
