This bitter brings up some intense sense memories of wonderful nights in British pubs, drinking hand-pulled bitters amid vigorous fellowship. The beer itself is definitely not the finest bitter in the world, but the choices for real British bitters in the United States in the bottle are slim pickings indeed. This bottle of Bombardier was a classic in the style, smooth and drinkable with a strong but subtle hop flavoring bolstered by steady florals.

A very good, clean English ale. Nice head that doesn’t stay around too long. Nice golden-redish hue. Has a lot of English character (toffee, a bit fruity, malty). Also, it’s a good value at around $3.00 a bottle. Nothing jaw dropping, but a nice, clean ale.

Pours clear, brown, with a fine, moderate head. Very thin aroma of caramel and hops. Flavor has a strong bittering hop profile and a lot of toffee and caramel flavor.

19.25oz bottle-pours a big foamy light tan head and amber/red color. Aroma is medium malt-somewhat sweet toffee, fruit, vanilla, some peat. Taste is medium malt-toffee, earthy/metallic hops. Finish is metallic. OK/mild carbonation. Trade with jwc215.
