smell is caramel, roasted nuts, some spice.
taste is thin, malt, almonds, caramel, nice bitter ending.

Jan 17, 2008 Dark amber pour with an inch-thick head. Soft malty aroma with a touch of Goldings. Mild malty taste with a slight bitterswet finish. Very mild and smooth and typical of an English bitter. Nice.

Dec 22, 2007 Updated: Feb 4, 2008Can (500ml) 4.3%. Poured a bronze with ruby highlights and a fair size creamy white head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of caramel, butterscotch, shortbread and some candy sugar somewhere in the mix. Taste was a fair bitterness with biscuity notes, more caramel and shortbread, some toffee and a fair dose of nuts. Body was medium with a dry texture, creamy mouthfeel and good finish
