Aroma is butterscotch, earthy hops and some yeasty characteristics. Flavor starts with a sweet caramel malt character, balanced by a nice, earthy hop presence. Body is a little thin, and finish is a bit too sweet. Overall, a nice beer, but not a beer geek beer. This is a good session beer. oteyj (726), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA

Pours a clear dark ruby amber. Has a full creamy tan head that sticks around a good while. Leaves a fair bit of nice curtainy lacing. Smells sweet and tart. A little bit of honey and grainy bread. Flavour is nicely bitter up front on a bed of roasty malts and some citrus and grapefruit in the finish. Slightly reminiscent of a good IPA. Nice palate, full body, medium smooth feel, soft carbonation.Very nice surprise considering the last Bitter I’ve tried. Good drink. jason (1621), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
