Aroma was sweet and a bit grassy. Flavor very sweet, with some dry grassy, earthy finish. mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 6, 2007 Smells like a beer...lager-like....a fluffy head that you could dive into and spend hours reaching the ruddy brown depths below....very slight bitterness, lots of malt, yet thin..a decent balance, an essential beer taste more than anything exotic, not sure why I was even expecting more, maybe the playful shape of the bottle?..also a hint of caramel in the finish, a bit watery but decent, very kewl metal backed label as well deprogram (112), Renton, Washington, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Updated: Jul 5, 2008You gotta love the name of this brew. Aroma is slight roast and bready beer yeast. Color is darker, somewhat like an american dark lager. Appearance is clear, not hazy. At first there is a medium bitter alky impact that imparts an american malt liquor palate. Eventually that morphs into a more acceptable strongish beer flavor. Goes from slightly offensive to farely well behaved during the session. Good creamy carbonation. Some hidden tartness but not fruity by any means. Finish has medium mild alky bite but for the most part it is a well mannered brew. Alky linger once the session is complete. jefcon (998), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Uniformly caramel brown and clear with an active head. One of the best labels in history! Lots of nutty malt on the nose with an underpinning of chocolate and spicy hops. Full-flavored, but smooth and gentle on the palate. Good hop character, spicy with a faint grapefruit citrus suggestion. A bit of ginger. Chocolate on the deep end of the finish. A nice, easy bitter to drink. Quaffable. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 30, 2007 Pours a beautiful shade of burnt caramel / deep amber. Aroma of sweet caramel malts. The flavour is almost syrupy sweet and medium bodied. Watermelon is also curiously present. A slight bitter finish which is nonetheless dominated by the sweet caramel malts. Slightly dry. Not bad -- good take on a bitter. Easy drinking. dwyerpg (2529), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 26, 2007 A nice sweet caramel malt aroma. This is a pleasant beer. A little dryness, graininess and sweetness. Not overbearing in any way, just a tasty beer that hit the spot.
