This beer seems to get decent ratings but i really disliked this beer .. First off, not to bitch about price but this really is to expensive, Especially for this kind of brew .. Medium sized head for a bitter .. Smells of used socks and old biscuits .. Taste is just a muddled mess, quite disgusting actually! .. Avoid at all costs!!

Bene. ENGLISH TEXT HERE First bottle bitter I like, I owe to Wells and to Ettore this pleasant discover, at the Unicorn pub in Brescia, sampled from his glass. Pleasantly gummy and sweet to balance the bitterness of hops, which takes place in the finale. Good.

Slight hazy amber with a full fluffy lasting white head. Bread, caramel & slight aroma hops. Taste is pleasant bitter balanced with some sweet malts. Lasting bitter finish. Quite OK ESB!

Bottle -- A pale amber color. Nose of perfume with yeast. Tasted like watered down perfume. Some malt, yeast, and bread flavors. Some bitter after notes. A medium finish with a sweet middle tone.

On tap at the Horse Brass Pub--Thick rich, dark black top that faded into deep red hues near the bottom of the glass. Frothy, small, inviting cream head. Notes of caramel and fruity chocolate. Spicily hopped with a rounded malt presence. Very nice!

Smells of yeasty. Pours an amber color with a nice big fluffy off white head. Tastes like caramel, sugar, and malt. Good solid bitter with a soft after taste.

500 ml can. Clear mahogany body with a nice beige head, a really good-looking beer. Aroma is caramel malt, and delicious hoppy. Flavor is also caramel malt, with a fine hoppynes and quite fruity. This is a fresh, bitter and tasty beer, somehow a bit one-dimensional and slightly watery but I like it a lot. I often tend to be more positive to a more average beer when I have this beer alone without anything else other to compare with, but what the heck. I think I might just love beer as a general rule, and this beer taste great today.
