Bottle at Beiaard, A’dam. Red coloured bitter. Some head. Well prickly. Malty, with standard bitter flavours. Fine enough.

Dark amber. Small white head. Little smell. Smooth bittersweet taste. love the hops in this beer. Not much else detectable though. Feels like most ales. Not bad

Bottle. A rather red colour with a fast disappearing head, very malty aroma. The taste is also rather malty, a typical british ale - not bad but nothing special. A everyday beer

Large stubby bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a deep burnt amber color, with a minimal tan colored head. Aromas are of burnt sugars, dry oak logs, musty basements. Flavors are of chalk, burnt wood, dry oak leaves. Medium mouthfeel. Medium body. Not a good ESB in my book. Too dry & astringent for my tastes.

Can. Pours a dark cherry wood color with a farily large beige head. Aroma is slight musty grass, fruit. Taste mild grass hops with some caramel. Finish is mildly dry. In between the sip and finish there was a very distinct layer of water as far as feel and taste ( as in liquid with no taste) very odd as it happened only a couple of times.

Bottle pours a clear mahogany body with a one finger beige head. Sheet lacing left behind. Aroma of bready toasty crystal malt and floral and spicy hops. Faint note of mineral in the taste, joining with bitter unripe pears, toasty malt, and dominating floral and spicy hop bitterness. A decent English bitter.
