Ruby colour with a alty nose, and a sweet fruit malt flavour with a little bitterness

Did not expect much but was pleasently suprised. The beer has a great taste and a nice dark orange hue. Nice fruity smell but a nice bitter taste that is refreshing.

Poured a clear dark ruby color with a thin short lived head. The aroma is of toasted sweet bread, herbs, and root vegtables. Very little flavor; hints of roasted malt. A bit watery and a bit bitter on the finish. Quite boring beer.

a little more metallic than its cask cousin. Still good, a little too fizzy as well. A nice full dark golden colour with a little bit of off white head. Has a similar taste and mouth feel to pedigree.

Pours a clear mahogany with a short, tan head. Strong caramel aroma with light aclohol, light vinegar and dusty grains. Soft metallics in the mouth with an astringent twinge... a little fluffy yet a bit heavy as well (read: "interesting palate"). Malty flavor gets whisked away by a dry, alcoholic finish. A little raw, yet mainly just sweet and smooth ending with a tea-like bitterness.

Can. Hazy orangey brown with a huge offwhite head. Potent, grassy hop aroma. Grass hits the tongue to be followed by moderate toffee, still ending quite dry. Light-bodied. Thirst-quencher for the advanced.

A well made British toffee and as the commercial description states a dry personality. Page 114 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide only 431 out of 500 Classic Brews to go. Had this on hand pump in England recently and lowered my rating.

On tap at The Tap House. Pours a clear mahogany with an off-white head that leaves tons of lace. Light, and lightly spicy aroma. Medium body with light carbonation. Vanilla and toffee taste with a dash of fruit. Clean finish.
