Mud brown in colour and a heavy taste. Quite malty and sweet, but little hoppiness. Comes in a pint bottle though, which is a bonus!

Bottle: Brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel and earthy hops. Flavor, lightly bitter, some caramel and pale malts, biscuits. First time I had this I could barely drink it, I didn’t hate it as much this time around. Still not something I would pay for normally.

Can. 4.3% ABV version. Pours light reddish/brown with a slight haze. Creamy beige head, mostly lasting. Malty caramel aroma, notes of raisins and also a strange scent of something that reminds me of tea-leaves... Slight sweet malt flavors, moderately hopbitterness. Light body, dry mouthfeel, dry hoppy finish.

(Draught) Pours clear mahogany with a stable white head. Light roasted, toffee/cookie-ish malty aroma with some cherries and notes of metal. Some soil/ earthyness in the nose. Fruity. Light salty, light roasted flavour with some cherries, cookies and metal notes. Light to medium body with a round mouthfeel. Light afterbitterness.

Chestnut brown with a long lasting cream head; very slight carbonation; rich malty aroma; full bodied and sweet with a taste of stewed fruit and a touch of chocolate amid the malts; aftertaste is refreshing and not too bitter. Much superior to the cask version.

Sticky sweet aroma. Clear amber with a frothy disipitating head. Strong thick hoppy tasting ale. The beer has body, nice bitter after taste.
