I love the beautiful hop bitterness and the eminent drinkability of this ale. For me I have found it to be a perfect afternoon ale with cheese. The carbonation it gets from bottle conditioning cuts through the milk fat of most cheeses (especially chreamy french ones such as camembert and livarot).
This beer is now planted firmly in my favourites. I love Wells Bombardier. HenrikSoegaard (4321), Randers, Denmark

Mud brown in colour and a heavy taste. Quite malty and sweet, but little hoppiness. Comes in a pint bottle though, which is a bonus! sliffy (1966), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2006 Bottle: Brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel and earthy hops. Flavor, lightly bitter, some caramel and pale malts, biscuits. First time I had this I could barely drink it, I didn’t hate it as much this time around. Still not something I would pay for normally.
