ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Aug 4, 2005 Bottled(568ml- pint). -reddish-mahogany colored with a pale brown rich head, aroma is malt, hops to balance with black cherry hints, low carbonation, mild spicy bitter finish thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Aug 3, 2005 Pour is a very dark brown with a big tan head. Aroma is like dark fruits with a carmel malt backbone. Flaovr is a a nice peat moss with a touch of smoke with a bit of cherry in there. Very tasty and pleasing to all the senses. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 26, 2005 A Big head that fast disapears into some lace, bitter and acidic bite, with some malts and chewy creaminess to offset. Lingering bitterness that works for summer. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Jul 22, 2005 Updated: Aug 24, 2005Bottle (Imperial pint) shared with blankboy This is steady favorite of mine, I keep half a dozen bottles at all times - surprising I havent’ rated it before! Poured a lively deepish copper, thinish fairly white head, spare lacing. Aroma is malt, hops to balance, some fruit and grain, and minerals. Taste is the same, very refreshing and "more-ish". A somewhat astringent, minerally mouthfeel, longer than average finish, ending on a slightly brackish, bitter note. Hope to have this on cask in the UK one day. monty (39), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 21, 2005 Charles Wells Bombardier. 20 July 2005. Bottle. From the beginning this seems to be a couple notches above your typical bottled British export. Light brown head that thins but stays for most of the glass. Beer is copper/red - shades darker than the marketing photo. Aromas of bread and light fruit. This is pretty mild and a little sweet, but very pleasant in all. The breadiness and hints of fruit (citrus) persist into the flavors, and the hops are just enough to round this out. A nice surprise for a bottled bitter this side of the pond - and (whaddya know) Not in a clear bottle! Thanks, Angelica. Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Jul 10, 2005 From the bottle pours almost mohogany with nice red tones when held up to the light. The thick off white head thins to a lace. Aroma has coffee, black cherry, caramel hints with a hoppy overtone. To be honest it smells much better than it tastes. Flavour is thin and weak though for a premium bitter. Very light flavour, some hoppy notes in the body. Slighty malty after taste. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jul 7, 2005 I like. It’s a rich, reddish-mahogany color with a creamy, well-sustained & good-lacing tan head. The aroma is rich and malty with light pome fruits, a nut or two, and some herbal hops. This is very creamy in the mouth, quite smooth & easy to imbibe. The flavor is a big chewy malt with pears and nuts and an earthy, bitter finish... splashed on by some sweetness. I wish this was more readily available in the Chicago area.

Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 24, 2005 Barcelona - Pours dark red with white head, there is the scent of wheat and hops, it has more of a malty taste though. Nice and smooth.
