I like. It’s a rich, reddish-mahogany color with a creamy, well-sustained & good-lacing tan head. The aroma is rich and malty with light pome fruits, a nut or two, and some herbal hops. This is very creamy in the mouth, quite smooth & easy to imbibe. The flavor is a big chewy malt with pears and nuts and an earthy, bitter finish... splashed on by some sweetness. I wish this was more readily available in the Chicago area.

Barcelona - Pours dark red with white head, there is the scent of wheat and hops, it has more of a malty taste though. Nice and smooth.

Looks good in and out of the bottle. Lovely, dark colour and hoppy aroma. Malt in the taste and a satisfying bitter finish. A really good English bitter. The pride of little Bedfordshire (my home county).

Bottle poured dark red amber with a small head and lacing. Aroma is light malt and ripr fruits. Flavor is malt, fruits, apple? Light body and easy drinking.

Very drinkable. Light fruitiness balanced by a dull bitterness make this one a pleasant experience. A bit light on the malt, but otherwise a fine drink.

Draft at DBF 2005. Clear brown colour with an off white head. Aroma of hops and malts. Watery flavour of malts and hops. Boring.

Poured a good dark copper, frothy, a good mouthfeel, a little spice a little nice, try it twice. Makes me think a little hop, another gulp, can’t stop. mmmm.
