nate2g (1034), Brisbane, Australia Jun 6, 2009 Draught at Pig-N-Whistle pub, Brisbane. Pours copper with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, fruit and a touch of caramel. The body is thin and finishes with a soft, lingering bitterness. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Jun 6, 2009 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours a very nice looking dark red/brown with beige head. Aroma is kinda light though, some caramel, faint hops, and something I can not identify....possibly some pepper as well. Flavor is exactly the same, a little dry.....mouthfeel is light-medium body with high carbonation....overall, not bad..... maltdog (509), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jun 2, 2009 500ml can into a half pint glass. Clear caramel; khaki head. Toffee aroma with noticeable hops. Sweetish flavor offset by a welcome, slightly rough bitterness. Thin, smooth palate. By far the hoppiest beer I tasted in eight days in London. Nice bitter. NJBeerman013 (768), Trenton, New Jersey, USA May 30, 2009 500 ml bottle. Copper amber in color, pure white head. Aroma is bready with some touches of sweetness. Flavor is some fruit, sweet roasted malts, and somewhat of a dry, crisp finish. sm89walt (433), Norwich, Norfolk, England May 28, 2009 A clear mahogany colour with a fine, beige head. A combination of fruit, caramel and bread malt aromas. Plenty of fruity flavours, mixed with some caramel, some roastiness and a touch of resiny hops. Pleasant, lasting sweet/bitter finish, nice palate texture, light carbonation. Steely (149), , Sweden May 20, 2009 Dark amber color with a very high and thick creamy tan head. Roasted malt aroma with spices and a hint of caramel sweetness. Flavor of roasted malt with a touch of caramel and raisin well balanced with an evident bitterness from the challenger hops. Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA May 20, 2009 Clear ruby pour. Sour aroma. Quite tart taste with an increasingly dry aftertaste. Not the greatest and I’ve had better within this style. Spab (236), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 14, 2009 500 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear amber copper with a small off white head. Mild aroma of bread, caramel and spice. Strong malty flavour with nice spicy, hoppy finish. Not too shabby.
