1 pt. bottle. Pours an amber brown that is like the color of tea. Nice pillowy off-white head. Sweet malt, a touch of caramel, light brown sugar, and a touch of earth in the nose. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Caramel malt sweetness, a bit of a metallic note, and just a bit of a sour note, like sourdough bread. A very mild hop note lurks in there too. A medium, sweet finish with just a touch of bitterness. Unfortunately the metallic note keeps ringing through, lessening the experience.

Tasted in Toronto from LCBO. Very dark brown / deep ruby colour. White lasting thin head. Sweet malty burnt caramel aroma. Flavour has a slight caramel taste, with a hint of spice / flowery hop finish.

Offwhite heas on a ruby brown body. Average, a bit strong, refreshing, from a can.

568ml bottle. Pours the typical deep orange-red, with a small cap, that’s dense and lasts. The aroma is mostly malts, fruity, with some alcohol. The taste is pretty much the same with a fruity after-taste and a minor hop presence. It’s dry for sure, and the ever so slightly higher alcohol content is actually sort of evident. Decent but not out of this world. The aroma is actually pretty unpleasant. I don’t understand the high score, maybe I’m just not a fan of this style.
