1 Pt. 0.9 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Dark reddish brown with a very small head and not a whole lot of lacing. Aroma of fruits and raisins combined malts and brown sugar notes. Taste is consistent earthy flavors with a nice bitterness to it; is perhaps a bit watery but not bad.

Dark, rich colour but you can still see through the body. Head is consistent and is a slight off white. Nose is malt and bread and dry fruit. Great English bitter. I can sense typical British hops, as well as dark fruit and dark malt and even choc and nut....leading to that smooth, dry yet tasty mouthfeel with a tinge of carbonation. The whole thing smacks of sessions down an English pub. It is a better cask ale ( smoother ) than a bottled ale....but still tasty nonetheless.

DATE TASTED: June 7, 2015... GLASSWARE: Victory nonick... OCCASION: Cavs/Warriors Game Two--down to a true supporting cast without Kyrie... APPEARANCE: dark cedar body that is translucent nonetheless; head is off-white, half-fingered, and strong, with a creamy consistency... AROMA: nice, soft, spicy notes early; malts are bitter, hearty, and woody; hops are subtle and floral... PALATE: dry and vinous, with a thin overall presence--easy drinking... TASTE: an English bitter in its profile--businesslike, malty, and understatedly active; cherry, pear and some other fruity elements surprise the tastebuds... OVERALL: this beer is an enjoyable beer while watching a game and talking to the TV--great balance, subtle textures, and little fanfare...

500ml can. 5.2%. Pours a clear, rich garnet/caramel with a one finger, off white head. Aroma has creamy notes of caramel, slight dark fruits, fruity English yeast esters, and faint, earthy/spicy/slightly floral hops. Really nice. Taste is balanced. Starts with toasted bread, caramel, a touch of dark fruits, then traditional hops, and a slightly bitter ending. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a bone dry finish. Overall a great beer. Classic flavours of caramel, bread, dark fruits, wrapped in am easy drinking package. Would get again.

Dark brown colour with no head. Medium body with big bubbles, so it look like Coca Cola - carbonation is too high. Almost without aroma, I noticed only pale malt. Taste is sweet with fruity - caramel notes and similar, little bitter finish. Very drinkable, but still an average beer.
