Pours a clear mahogany with a short, tan head. Strong caramel aroma with light aclohol, light vinegar and dusty grains. Soft metallics in the mouth with an astringent twinge... a little fluffy yet a bit heavy as well (read: "interesting palate"). Malty flavor gets whisked away by a dry, alcoholic finish. A little raw, yet mainly just sweet and smooth ending with a tea-like bitterness.

On tap at the Horse Brass Pub--Thick rich, dark black top that faded into deep red hues near the bottom of the glass. Frothy, small, inviting cream head. Notes of caramel and fruity chocolate. Spicily hopped with a rounded malt presence. Very nice!

Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a nice hazy golden orange color. Aromas of nice citrus/grapefruit hops. Flavor starts malty and the hops kick in, nice crisp bitter finish.

Like the Adnams Broadside an excellent English bottled bitter. Pours a nice chesnut brown colour, malty roasted tastes but belanced with some residual caramely sweetness. Very good beer.
