Aroma features burnt sugar, dark toffee, a hint of dried fruit and a hint of zesty earthy hops. In the mouth the dark toffee burnt sugar character is pronounced with a mid palate flash of hop flavour and a dry toffee bitter finish. Decent beer but somewhat one dimensional.

500ml bottle served in a Pint glass. A: Pours a dark amber copper clear color forming a big bubbled and very creamy beige head. Excellent retention and lots of lacings left S: Sweet toffee, caramel malts and strong notes of flowery British style hops. In overall, it’s a very "British" Ale T: Slightly sweet upfront. Mainly composed by toffee, caramel malts and bready yeasts. Strong notes of citrus hoppy bitterness in the end M: Light to medium body. Medium carbonation. A little bit molasses. Toffee and mild citrus hoppy bittersweet aftertaste O: Good drinkability. Extremely British. Great session beer [ BA Review @ 10/19/2012 ]

CLASSIC! Within the mass produced bitter ale segment, that is. Sharp sour hop bitterness in the taste, hints of fennel and lemon in the aroma. Beautifully dark green (probably not green in reality - I am a daltonist). I wish this was readily available in Germany

Rather pleasant mild bitter with lightly fruity notes, a sturdily malty mid-section and a dry, tart, bitter finish. Easy drinking.

Appearance clear amber with medium head. Aroma has some malts. Taste is malts made milder by a small amount of bitterness. Overall not bad, but not great.

From a bottle in Aviolene, Scotland. Just average. Dark amber color with a fading head. Bitter flavors that makes it a standard bitter. Eh.

BOTTLE 50CL. Look: clear ruby red, smallish tan head. Aroma: quite strong caramel, dried fruit, fruit marmalade, some earthy hops. Taste: rich caramel body, moderate spicy-earthy hop bitterness.

Copper clear pour. Light off white head and dissipates quickly. Toasty malt. Bready yeast aroma. Mild earthy hop aroma. Bready, toasty flavor. Mild earthy hop spiciness. Mild yeast aroma as well. Dry medium bitter finish with some residual malt flavor. ---Rated via iPhone

Pörkölt alaphangú, könnyed malátás, kissé karamellás, mogyorós színezetű, óvatosan komlózott ale.

Klasszik inglis bír, kellemes íz és szép szín jellemzi. Jól oltja a szomjat. Ajánlom. Xxxxc
