3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
ABV on this bottle says 5.2, not 4.7%. Smells of pale and crystal malt, bit of mineral and hops too. Very well balanced.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle bought at Wellcome Superstore in Sheung Shui.
Clear copper brown colour; One finger head and off-white foam which lasts for 90 seconds; Excellent sticky lacing and fizzy carbonation; Slightly fragrant aroma of dark malt, with caramel, toffee, plums and dark fruits, sugar, Coffee-Mate powder, very light musty and faint grass; Mid to light sweet taste of dark ale malt, with moderate roastyness, light tartness, potent caramel, thick molasses, earth, Cola, strong toast, bread, light yeast, strong lime, moderate bitter hops and sharp grass; Light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is dark malt with pretty good roastyness. Very strong caramel and toasty background with thick and pleasant molasses sweetness not very common for this style. Very earthy and limey hoppiness. Not too bready. Good!... Hoppiness is very light grass in nose. Earth, strong lime and light sharp grass in taste. Moderate bitterness matches well with molasses for a light and abrupt bitter-sweet finish; Fairly dry after taste. Easy and limey to mouth.
Comments: As an ESB, this one features a bit more in every way - unassuming but fruity drak malt aroma, nice toasty dark malt taste with thick molasses, earthy and limey hops. I want something more from this empty style and I’ve got it, nicely. Strongly recommended!

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle shared with McTapps. Had high hopes which were really crushed within a few seconds. Dull one with no real aromas beside a bit of malt. Maybe chocolate in the back. Tastes like a piece of wood with a bit of alcohol. Cannot imagine this bottle was infected therefore I would say this one is just drinkable.

Draft at Edmunds Oast. Chestnut color pour with a bubbly tan head. Aroma of toffee, toasted bread, earthy hops with some underlying plum and figs. Flavor is similar with a smooth moderately carbonated body. Smooth and a easy drinker.
