Sampled @ GBBF day 3. Clear apple juice like color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly fruity, lightly bitter, a hint of apple and pear, slightly sweetish hints as well. Average body and carbonation.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: light molasses and caramel malts. Appearance: clear light amber, small frothy white head. Taste: moderate sweet. Palate: light body, flat carbonation, somewhat weird palate. Overall: weird palate indeed, sweet taste is OK though. Pint at the GBBF 2014, Kensington.

Cask at GBBF. Dark orange, clear, still, small bubbly white head. Aroma is sick. Body is medium to light. Taste is weird - tangy. I can’t drink any more of the third of a pint in order to describe it any more than that. This was a terrible beer, and I poured it out in the toilets.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Tesco. Golden, no head. The hops produce a highly potent sugary sweet nose and a fairly sweetened taste. Drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden ale with a light grapefruit head. Flavour is bitter grapefruit as well with little sweetness to balance it. It’s nice though, with a sharp hoppy aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint bottle at home, served in an English pint glass Citrus orange aroma. Cinder toffee and Olde English marmalade flavour. Not as hoppy as the blurb would lead you to believe. Not bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2014 500 ml bottle bought at Tesco, drunk at home. Light copper, very clear, lively carbonation, no head. Caramel apple, grass, buttered toast and floral notes in the aroma. Unusual but very pleasant. Strong sweet taste with a tinge of bitterness and slight astringency. Taste profile is simple with a short finish. Enjoyable beer and a welcome addition to the Wells & Young’s stable.
