really black beer with a big offwhite head, smells of chocolate, coffee, and dried plums, im mouth, coffee, and chocolate again and something toffeelike, both bittersweet and hoppy. aftertaste bittersweet, coffee, hoppy bitterness

Dec 20, 2009 Not the worst beer I’ve ever had but there’s just not much to it. The dark creamy head collapses quickly and leaves a bit of disappointment in it’s wake. Burnt coffee aroma and not much on the palate.
Like I said though, not the worst beer i’ve ever had.

Nov 14, 2009 Bottle. Sample at Göteborgs Porterfestival. Black colour with a beige head. Roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, english hops, only lightly sweet. Dry finish. Light body/mouthfeel. Nice, but maybe just a bit too watery.

Oct 27, 2009 Rich, dark colour with tan head. Chocolate, coffe aroma, very nice. mouthfeel is very smooth and velvety with some coffe like bitterness and great balance. Personally I’d prefer some more thickness in the mouthfeel, but this is a really good porter.

Oct 16, 2009 Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown shine under a brown head. The aroma has light notes of both sweet and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet wtih notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of roasted coffee and cocoa, leading to a dry, bitter, and roasted finish.
