Bottle. Deep brown almost black colour with tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee. Taste of chocolate, coffee, hops and roast malts. Finish is smooth. Nice overall.

Very dark brown colour with a thin tan head and lace. Dark malt, slight coffee with some slight roasty notes. Dull as hell.

Aug 31, 2008 Bottled@Chris O Post GBBF tasting. Deep black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is caramel malts, some fruity hops as well as mild roasted notes. Flavour is mild caramel, hops, some roasted malts. Aftertaste is mainly caramel and mild roast.

Aug 18, 2008 Updated: Aug 29, 2008a great & easy drop. Superior darkness & sectrely dark whispers. Very stouty for a dark ale but not as heavy - a smooth roasted dark ale. v/Great de goodie stuff this gem is.
