KimJohansen (2460), Copenhagen V, Denmark May 12, 2008 Clear deep amber with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with hoppy and caramel notes. Sweet flavor with hoppy notes and caramel. Ends slightly bitter.
armando629 (343), Budapest, Hungary Jul 26, 2008 Fine bitter. Copper colored body and a delicious beige head. Nice fruity aroma of caramel, hops, some roasted malt, a hint of citruses. Smooth mouthfeel with a nice flavor of roasted malt, nice bitter hop taste, moderated carbonation. Fine bittery aftertaste. BeerGestapo (258), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 22, 2008 (England) Pours a dark amber / brown color with zero head. The aroma is of malts, caramel, and hops !! The mouthfeel has a sharp zesty bitterness with a malty taste. This bitter is pretty good, But not the best that i’ve had. Pinball (255), Allerød, Denmark Jul 18, 2008 can !!!!!4.3%!!!!! this might come in two different versions, but i wouldn’t put this rating down as a cask. I have verified the 4.3% with another can, bought in IRMA, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Aroma sour, citrus, fruit, nice flavor but nothing special, nice session beer but not elite. turbothy (580), Nørrebronx, Denmark Jul 8, 2008 Can. Pours amber with quite a large head. Metallic bitter aroma. Less metallic flavour, not half bad. jgb9348 (1793), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Jul 8, 2008 Nice brownish coper coloured body with a nice-sized tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops, yeast, peanuts, carrots and a bit of raisins. Medium-bodied; Strong english hops up front then fading to a nutty malt. Aftertaste shows some mild yeast, nuts and tonnes of malt - only a tiny bit of hops. Overall, a decent beer, not too much of an ESB, more of a traditional english bitter in my opinion. I sampled this 19.25 (wierd size) ounce bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 22-June-2008, sampled on 07-July-2008.
