gpekar (119), USA May 6, 2008 Poured a clear copper/amber color with a tall foamy tan head. The head was very slow to go down and left good lacing throughout the glass. The beer looked very nice in the glass. There was a nice earthy malty aroma with a subtle bit of hops to. The taste was on the dry side and nicely crisp. There was a little bit of a hop bite, but overall generally mild. A good drinking beer clean, crisp and refreshing

Aromas of carmel, figs, dates, toffee and toasyed malt. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark bread, carmel, toasted malt, figs and toffee with a smooth dry moderatly bitter finish. Pours a ruby colour with good off-white creamy head and very good lace. Aroma hinted of roasted malt, caramel, toffee, aromatic hops, lemongrass, and grape. Good balance on the palate between sweet lush malt and mild bitter hops. Dry and lingering bitterness on finish with an undertone of sweet spice.
