Thin, fine off white head. Malty smell with a subtle hop undertone. Medium mouth feel with a fully malty flavor and medium bitterness. Slightly bitter but clean finish.

Sep 6, 2008 Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate sweet malty aroma. Medium body with a dry bitter texture. Medium bittersweet flavor with a smoot toasted bitter finish of average duration. Solid drinkable flavorful brew.

Sep 5, 2008 500ml bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, figs, dates, toffee and toasyed malt. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark bread, carmel, toasted malt, figs and toffee with a smooth dry moderatly bitter finish.

Aug 31, 2008 Bottle. Pours a ruby colour with good off-white creamy head and very good lace. Aroma hinted of roasted malt, caramel, toffee, aromatic hops, lemongrass, and grape. Good balance on the palate between sweet lush malt and mild bitter hops. Dry and lingering bitterness on finish with an undertone of sweet spice.
