Fino a mezza pinta a fine serata è godibile, oltre è suicidio...
0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 marcot (771) - Campomorone, ITALY - MAR 19, 2011
Bevuta a Pisa alla fine di una serata devastante con Corkscrew prima della mia partenza per le ferie. Ma che è sta roba? Non c’è un voto più basso? Era meglio la Poretti
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 LordCorkscrew (1774) - Ronco Scrivia (GE), ITALY - FEB 6, 2011
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 nate2g (1548) - Boomtown! / Waikato, NEW ZEALAND - APR 10, 2010
On tap at Kikuya pub, Florence. The only beer available on the night. At 10% this is like lighter fuel the first few mouthfuls. Amber with swift white head. Mainly just toffee, burnt caramel and alcohol. Slight burn from the abv but that eventually passes after 3 pints so no need to worry. The finish is...well I can’t exactly remember but it may have involved waking up the next morning in a gutter embracing a blow up doll and trousers around the ankles. Wasn’t me but you know, it could happen *cough*.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 derekvaiti (4) - modena, ITALY - DEC 23, 2008 does not count
I had it in London for almost 2 months, a friend of mine used to have a party almost everyday and of course I used to be there everyday. It is a good one, not easy to find anyway, but still a good beer to eat seasoned cheddar or stilton, I simply like it with fresh tropical fruit, like mango, pinapple and banana.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blinesam (233) - USA - AUG 4, 2007
Draught at Kikuya on Via dei Benci in Florence, Italy numerous times during the summer of 2003. At 10% this was the beer to get you smashed. Definitely did not hide its high ABV. Although I enjoyed it and had about a dozen pints of it I still thought it tasted like wallpaper paste.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 caesar (3946) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUN 27, 2005
Tap, Excalibur, Girona, Spain. Clear dark brown color, short off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, bit alcoholic, fruits like prune, english hops. Thick body, almost creamy. Malty and fruity taste, bit alcoholic, quite bitter. Typical english style. Quite nice.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dorqui (1768) - Brescia, ITALY - APR 24, 2005
Draught at Birreria "I 5 Tavoli" (Firenze) [www.i5tavoli.it]. Medium foam, compact and of good persistence. Amber color, limpid and discreetly bubbly. Medium and much alcoholic scent; prickly to the nose. Much flowery and with determine malt notes. Fresh and much strong taste, extremely alcoholic and bitter on the finish.
