2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Carbonation prickles against the gums. Seems a little thin - not as smooth and thick as you’d like for an ale. Was expecting worse - it’s surprisingly good, though that may have to do with having tasted several other very strong beers this evening.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
found this in a 500ml can at LCBO. This is the worst supposed IPA i have tried. It pours a light darker brown, had a fizzy white head after settling in my pint glass. Aroma is almost devoid of hops or floral as I have found in other IPA’s. It is somewhat smooth but has a tinny taste to it not satisfied at all, this is crap.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours very clear light brown. Nice lingering pillowy head. Subdued grassy hop aroma. Surprisingly aggressive malty kick to open, lots of biscuit. Quickly gives way to a grating, harsh bitterness. Very little in the way of hop aroma, just grains+bitter.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
2L plastic bottle......seriously, you can’t make this stuff up.I thought only Russian Kvass came in soda bottles, but I guess I was wrong. Best by February 2011, so freshness shouldn’t be an issue. The pour is a mostly clear, dingy, dirty looking brownish amber. A small, fizzy, yellowish khaki head goes away quickly, and just a few spots of lace dot the glass. The nose is just completely horrid, showing notes of stale cardboard, dirty cereal grain, and some boiled vegetables. There’s a touch of fermenting grass in there as well, which is just vile. Flavors are just as awful, nay, they’re worse! Bitter root vegetables, dirty water, and spoiled grains and grasses make for a vile concoction. The palate is like that of stale seltzer water, completely thin, with fading carbonation. Ugh....I can’t say enough bad things about this beer. Just putrid.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma is oxidation and malt. Taste is much like an english ale, a little malt, a little stale hop but not a whole lot interesting.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Picked up a tall can on my neverending journey through the LCBO. Was a little disturbed that this ’IPA’ was available in a plastic 2 L container, but nonetheless, I was undeterred. 500mL Can. 5%. What on earth is this? Dark golden pour with a neverending foam out of the can. Aroma is funky grasses, corn, butter. Taste is sour fruity malt, with a sickly sweetness tempered with very little hoppiness to speak of. I’ve had dollar beers with more character. This is truly disgusting.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A - Yeasty and grassy
A - Dark gold with thick white head
T - Lightly sweet with a long hoppy bitterness
P - A touch fizzy
O - A decent mass produced IPA. Properly hopped, but I would like more complexity in the aromas...some citrus maybe.
