2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Chestnut pour with a thin creamy to soapy beige head. Aroma is loaded with toffee and butterscotch, toast, a little cereal, light apple skin and hints of fruity and planty hops. Flavor is toffee, caramel, butterscotch, earthy yeast, light metal, tree fruit and some fruity, fuggles-like hops to the finish. Light body slightly syrupy entry, light, but sharp and very blanketing carbonation and a dry finish. Decent overall, too buttery and not sweet enough for all the buttery flavors.

Clear light brown with zero head to speak of. Nutty aroma. Creamy texture with a taste that is, well, as describes.

courtesy of Philipp Sigg - clear ruby-brown beer with a moderate foam left; strong and evident notes of toffee; sweetish, thin-bodied and with more strong toffee notes in the finish - one-dimensional and surprising, yet ok

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Appearance: clear brown with a short, short-lived light tan head, minimal patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: sweet toffee and butterscotch, very light coffee. (6/10) Taste: strong sweet, mild bitter. (5/10) Palate: medium sticky body, moderate carbonation, lightly bitter finish. (3/5)
Take one unremarkable ESB and one bag of Werther’s Originals. Powder the toffees and mix them in the beer. Enjoy. (10/20)

It is a honest beer, some critics are hard but the taste of a beer is something personal. The taste is bitter with some coffee and we can taste in a discret way the puddind or toffee. The colour is dark like the double chocolate.

Bottle. deep amber with a beige head that’s soon a coat. Does indeed smell like the pudding. Medium bodied. Very sweet but it dries out a little at the end. There is some bitterness and there are some beer-like notes in it. But it’s mostly like the pudding - brown sugar cooked with cream, some dried fruit. Well done for what it is.

Bottle. Sweet toffee aroma. Pours a very dark reddish brown with frothy off white head. Very sweet toffee flavour with some nutty and roasted coffee notes. Syrupy in texture and a hint of bitterness in the finish.
