Clear copper pour with a frothy white head. Some weak honey in the aroma. Taste is an average bitter.

Floral, malty aroma. Flavours similarly floral, not too sweet but a definite honey flavour. A little break. OK.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma: light honey, grain and bread malts. Appearance: clear gold small, creamy white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters continue, soft carbonation, grain and bread malts again. Overall: boring Golden Ale. Bottle at The Porter, Bath.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 500ml bottle served in a Pint glass.
A: First of all, nice transparent bottle. Nice bottle art. Pours a dark yellow (honey like) clear color forming a big bubbled light yellow color. Low retention and some lacings left
S: Sweet honey in the nose. Metallic too. Sweet malts and some floral hops. Honey is not overwhelming. A bit of alcohol in the very end
T: Follows the nose, sweet honey and caramel malts upfront. Metallic. Flowery hops and yeasts. Mild hoppy bitter end
M: Light body and medium carbonation. Good smooth mouthfeel. Sweet upfront and mild bitter aftertaste
O: Easy drinking beer. Despite of its sweetness, a pleasant session beer

Bottle - golden with a bubbly white head which fades to a ring. Very weak lacing. Aroma of honey, flowers and lemon. Taste of honey, grass, malts, slightly floral. Light body, high carbonation. There’s definitely honey in this beer but really it doesn’t make it especially good, which is a shame.

Bottle from Tesco. Ok but a bit to much sweetness on the aroma and taste for me.

Dourada, com espuma de boa formação e persistência. Aroma cítrico e mel. Sabor de frutas amarelas, com médio amargor e final seco. Amargor com media persistência o final. Boa.

Bottle @ the Bedford Arms, Bedford. A slightly hazy and heavily carbonated mid gold. Aroma of honey, silverware and PVC. Taste is a bland bittersweet mess. The bubbles are nice, I can pretend I’m a fish. Inoffensive but pointless ’honey ale’. Some beers have thrived under the Wells & Youngs merger. Some have not. This has not.
