(Cask at Lamb, Bloomsbury, London, 1 Aug) Colour is amber with small head. Nose is fruity with notes of orange, apricots and honey. Taste is fruity with orange (orange marmelade actually), honey sweetness throughout and a touch of earthy (Youngs trademark) hops in the finish to balance the sweetness. Balanced and rather nice.

Pint pulled at The Alma in Wandsworth (London), a clear golden amber with only some film for head. Some honey in the aroma, but more musty than anything. A smokey mustiness in the flavour as well, some honey flavours left on the front of the tongue. Was very dry and also pretty ’flat’, maybe would have a bit more to it when fresh or from the bottle.
