Bready malt aromas from this light golden beer with an average-sized, white, creamy head. Balanced bittersweet flavor with latent spiciness that ended on a note of light hop bitterness. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation and a slightly alcoholic finish.

This is the first brew that Iím rating that I can honestly use the words "cookie dough" to describe the aroma. Itís a pale straw color with a bubbly, fizzy white head. Very, very soft in the mouth, itís got a honey-sweet malt flavor with hints of hop bitterness turning up on the sides of the tongue in the finish. I can see downing a bunch of these on a warm, humid Chicago summer night.

(16.9 oz bottle: $2.30 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) The nose is doughy, grassy and mildly hoppy. Ditto for the flavor, with the gentle hops bitterness becoming most prevalent in the finish. Fairly light in body, but not watery. Medium yellow in color and fully clear, so the handful of carbonation bubbles rising through the beer are readily visible. The bubbly white head settles to a thin layer, holding there for the duration of the session. Only a few wisps of lace are left on the glass. I was hoping for better, but itís simple, light and drinkable.

BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - NOV 30, 2004
Clear yellowy appearance, moderate head formation. Mildly fruity, hoppy, grainy nose. Very light bodied, dry, hoppy palate. Sweet lemony malt background. Some sharpness towards the end. Drinkable but not too impressive. Looking at the ratings my bottle could have been slightly off.

Joeh (2038) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2004
Bottle brought back from Germany. I find it hard to rate beers like this. The main quality is being refreshing and crisp, flavours and aroma are very delicate and hard to place. Virtually no aroma, what is there isnít very nice (almost like unfermented wort), it didnít look good. Moving on to the first sip, and this is actually really good, the aroma certainly does not carry over into the tasting. Light and delicate with a good malt character, almost fruity, slightly sweet Bready and spice notes. Itís not overcarbonated, and feels rather soft on the tongue. Nice.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a lovely golden straw colour with a nice, but quickly diminishing white head, which left some lacing. Aroma is sweet hops. Taste is sweet, nicely balanced malt and hops. Refeshing with a smooth, but slightly thin mouthfeel, and a light hoppy finish. Nice.
