2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Drinks World, Harborne. Weak malt aroma; pale yellow appearance, with nice lacing. Taste is remarkably smooth for the strength, with little bite or undulation. Washes across the tongue in a golden swish. Pleasant, but not really good enough.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark yellow colored with lively carbonation, medium sized white head. Rich hopped aroma with nice grassy-flowery notes, nice lemon and mild cardboard also here, nice aroma. Medium bodied, crispy palate. Flavor is also rich with hops and lemon in start, some caramelly note also comes up. Aftertaste is hopped still with nice lemon, I like this.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Uncle Sudsy’s. Sweet grain aroma, with light honey, raw malt, and a light noble sweet hops character. Beany but sweet like a heller Bock mixed with a classic German pilsener. Pale clear gold, a bit dull, with thin white head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts fairly sweet, with light pilsner malt and carbonic acidity. Sweet pea, papery stale hops, and dry grains. Definitely reminiscent of those lovely export lagers from supermarkets in Germany. Sweet dull finish with little bitterness. Clean after.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy golden yellow with a large dense white head. The aroma has toasty malt, breadiness, moderate sweetness, raw graininess and is very clean and full. Medium / full body that’s quite smooth with a good amount of carbonation. The flavor starts like the aroma, but is a bit astringent. The finish is drier and has some spicy hops. Pretty nice Helles.

On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt. Pours crystal clear golden with a nice lacey one-finger white head. Aroma is nice and slightly grainy, as it should be, with sweet pale malt and some hop notes. Flavor is nice and malty. Sweet pale malt, very mild grain, and floral hops. Excellent balance. Smooth on the palate with medium body. Very refreshing. Really solid for what it is. Drinkable
