Bottle by 18.10.2012. Nose of muddled caramel and strong wheat, lighter yeast and mineral. Subtle, sweet banana esters. Dark, clouded chestnut body with a creamy, rocky tan head. Light body is quite crisp, definite mineral and wheat but, ah, there come the waves of chocolate rolling in! How sultry, how relaxing. Esters are there, but recede, and they’re unfortunately passed by a short stinging alcohol note. Smooth and mild, one of the tastier DW’s I’ve found.

Pour out of 500 mL bottle, hazy reddish brown pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of slight caramel, slight tart fruits, hints of banana, clove, yeast, slight toasted bread. Taste is sweet caramel, grainy notes, hints of banana and slight tart fruit. Pretty decent but not much going on.

Murky brown with a decent head. Banana bread, clove, cinnamon, healthy yeast, and just a touch of caramel ... all the usual trappings in the nose. Flavor is mellow, carb is soft, body is thin, but extremely drinkable. A simple and solid example of the style. Better at a nice cool temp, and a lot of fun with my Bavarian pretzel. Hey.

Bottle. Cloudy amber body with a large, off-white frothy head. Aroma of banana, clove, toasted grain, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Some tartness. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not a lot of dark malt flavor, but nice taste of banana and clove.
