Pours a hazy orange-brown with a large and lasting head. I note with dismay what appears to be a date of 10.01.02. Hmmm, a bit old for a regular old dunkleweizen... No noticeable off flavors though, but a bit subdued. Subtle weizeny aromas- a bit of clove, etc. The flavor is the same, rich, full, if perhaps on the mild side for me. Recomended.

Donker bruin bier met schuim. Smaak is licht zoet en licht bitter hoppig, gewoon goed, maar niet expliciet Eigenlijk een gewoon standaard bier wat zeker niet slecht is maar ook niet bijzonder.

When I buy a dunkel I expect some flavor, and the strongest taste in this one is water. Nice coffee Aftertaste though.

Splitenz (331) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2014
Poured from bottle, quite dark brown. Aroma, a bit of fruit (koriander?) and bread. Taste is malty sweet, a bit too much so for me, as the body is quite thin. A good crispness from the hops saves it at the end however. A fine beer for its type.

Sweet malty flavor mixed with a hint of banana bread (yeast included). Smooth with a lingering flavor, mild and a bit different.

Poured into stein from 1 pint 0.9 oz bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy deep brown. Aroma is of ripe banana. Large white head, long lasting with plenty of lace. Mouth feel was oily. Taste was of malted wheat, toasted bread. Nutty aftertaste. Different, nice.

Appearance: Clear mahogany with a thin white head. Aroma: Banana, bubblegum, fruity, bready and a slight peppery note. Taste: Medium sweet and sourness with low bitterness. Banana and peppery notes. Palate: Thin, smooth, light texture and mouthfeel with prickly carbonation. Not astringent and has an abrupt fruity finish. Comments: Very tasty.

Bottle. Pours a clear light brown with rapidly settling white head, almost no lace. Aroma is sweet, banana, wheaty. Flavor is sweet, wheaty, with a mild banana finish. Doesn’t taste as dark or caramelized as some other dunkelweizens. Moderate carbonation, medium-light body, and a crisp texture. Drinkable and sweet.
