Pours a hazy orange-brown with a large and lasting head. I note with dismay what appears to be a date of 10.01.02. Hmmm, a bit old for a regular old dunkleweizen... No noticeable off flavors though, but a bit subdued. Subtle weizeny aromas- a bit of clove, etc. The flavor is the same, rich, full, if perhaps on the mild side for me. Recomended.

Corpo medio, medio-leggero, ben carbonata, molto beverina.

Bottle looks really good, like the Weltenburger bottles. Beer in the glass dark brown, almost black, nice head. Starts wonderful malty-roasty, not too intense. Mild sweetish background, also some hints of chocolate. Well balanced finish and quite drinkable. Awesome beer.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2015 A nice dunkel weisse. Sweet malty little bit of chocolate, toasted almonds, and Christmas spices, maybe some annis. Not the longest finish but really well representative of the style. Would gladly drink it again.
