This is a sensational wheat dunkel, teeming with wheaty goodness. An absolute home run! Delicious. Terrific chocolate flavor. Not immensely hefe-ish, but enough that you’ll recognize it’s wheat-based.

Pours turbid deep brown with 2-finger off-tan head. Nose is heavy Wheaties, brown sugar, figgy fruit. Tastes tart, brown sugary malty yet not sweet, with earthy, figgy fruity, yeasty spice, nuts, and some yeasty notes.

Appearance: Dark brown. Quite a lot of head. Cloudy. Aroma: Wheaty, but not that bad. Bit of chocolate, actually. Taste: Wheaty-ish. Maybe spicy. Not nice aftertaste. Info: 500ml bottle, 11/9-2006, 91/500

Bottle: Pours a dark amber color with a hazy look and nice head. The nose is bright with some fig and banana, nice clove esters and lots of yeast notes. Full bodied flavor and a malty tail. Lots of bread, rye, bubble gum and toasty dark malts. Yum.
