(on bottle) I like fudge, so I also like this beer, but I don´t belive that a hefeweize should have such a feel. Totally butterscotsh and I suspect a bad bottle or a bad taser(me) here.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Typical hefe aroma, pours a hazy yellow with a huge white head. Tastes quite spicy with some small hints of lemon and banana. Not much of a body. Quite refreshing for a hefe.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a hazy yeloow colour with a sizable white ’dimply’ head. Spicy and yeasty, with faint bubblegum aroma. Spicey, citrusy taste again with slight bubblegum. Nice sour/spicey finish. Medium mouthfeel a bit thin at the end.
Not outstanding but very drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had this at the Bier Garden in Portsmouth VA on 8-7-04. Pours a rich amber colored body and is very clouded. Small foamy white head. Nose is slightly spiced and yeasty but I could swear I smell the ocean in it or something similar. Taste is mildly spicy with yeast, malt, and a sweeter note light sugar cookies. The standard bubblegum and banana are rather subdued in my bottle. Mouthfeel is full while being light enough to be refreshing. Finish is sort of a candied hefe mix. Weird but good!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 24, 2006 Rerate Cloudy, murky light orange - lifeless looking wiht a fluffy white head. Grassy aroma. Yeasty, lemony flavor with a slight zing to it. Faint traces of caramel. Thickish mouthfeel. Original 3.4 Hazy, light orange pour with an initial strong white head, sticks around for awhile. Slight banana and bubble gum aroma, not too overpowering. Good tangy mouthfeel. Flavor has some back end coriander spicy notes to it to compliement the typical German wheat bubble-gum banana flavor. Yeast is not overdone on this - which I like. Overall, a most refreshing Hefe on this hot summer day.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2013 Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium to dark yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lighty malty (toasted grain, bread), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of banana taffy, clove, pepper, plastic. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Sadly a mixed bag of good and bad...the banana/gum/clove/pepper aspects are delightful and nicely balanced, but it’s all marred a bit by an artificial/plastic-like odor...if this were cleaner, we might be talking an 8 for the aroma. Starts sweet in the mouth, but there’s plenty of snappy tartness to make it quite enjoyable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy dirty yellow with yeast chunks, somewhat thick, lemony and ripe stonefruit, slight diacetyl. Clean, wheaty aroma. OK but the diacetyl/buttery component ain’t for me...

2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy orange straw color, small white head that lasted for a short time then faded to a small lace.Nice spicy citrus aroma with a mild hint of hops and wheat.Nice flavor of orange and maybe some lime with a nice spicy note and some decent but not overly done hops. The wheat side is nicely done with the brew being fairly well rounded.Definately an easy drinking brew that would be nice to have a few more around.
