Yeasty aroma, medium sweet taste, with notes of yeast, banana and bubblegum, but becomes very sweet as the beer gets warmer. Medium body, oily texture, soft to medium carbonation. Good hefe, nothing more, nothing less.

500ml bottle. Some malty and sweet aromas. Pours light copper, a bit hazy, with frothy white head, persistent, some lacing. Light to medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is quite sweet, some caramel, with cereal notes. Quite unbalanced.

Smak och doft av malt, humle, jäst , apelsinskal toner av koriander och banan. Frisk och syrlig men lång eftersmak.

Ein durchaus interessantes Weizen, dass beinache erfrischend, spritzig, bisweilen leicht säuerlich daherkommt. Fruchtaromen eher weniger, vielleicht Orangen und Zitronen, doch sobald die Kohlensäure etwas abklingt, wird es ein recht nettes Weizen. Kein Knaller, aber nett.

Light milky orange colour with low head and medium body. Nose of yeast. Taste of mild and elegant yeast, green berries and fruits, mild grains and untoasted toast. Easy to drink but it misses some deepness and character.

A little underwhelming, considering some of the other magnificaent beers produced by this brewery. Just average all the way around, in appearance, taste and aroma. Nothing special here....

Orange, leicht trüb, ordentlicher Schaum. Hefig-weiziger Geruch mit reichlich Gewürznelke. Im Antrunk rezent und vollmundig. Der Geschmack ist auf der würzigen Nelkenschiene, die zwar etwas einseitig, hier aber gekonnt umgesetzt worden ist. Dennoch ist das dunkle Weltenburger HW um einiges besser!

50cl bottle from El Corte Inglés, Santa Cruz de Tenerife (shared by Alexcg - thanks!). Pours hazy golden with a white head. Pretty standard weißbier; fruitity, yeasty and some banana. Less banana than expected actually... Sweet and lightly sour with a quite dry finish. Refreshing and quite nice. (2013-01-05)

From a bottle. As Weltenburger Kloster Hefe-Weissbier Hell. Aroma is slightly astringent wheat. Pours cloudy yellow. Initial flavor is light grainy wheat, leaves a little bit of a creamy, sweet, malty aftertaste that I guess somewhat distinguishes it from a run of the mill Hefe, but doesn’t have much depth to its flavor. Not bad, but I probably won’t buy again.

bottle pours cloudy orange gold, with small fizzy off white head. Aroma is full on wheat and yeast, soft cheese, more of the earthy type of hefe less of the fruity. Flavor is a bit sweeter, the wheat kicking through more than yeast on the aroma. In all honesty I think this is a great hefe, my type for the style.
