Tap at Zum Schneider: Copper golden pour with a dense off-white head. Clean, bready, softly caramelized aroma with a lightly spicy Vienna malt note. Creamy body- clean and firm malt flavor- mildly spicy Vienna malts, substantial but light caramel and bready character with a touch of toasted biscuit. As it warms, even more biscuity, clean and mildly sweet malt subtleties come out. A very good Vienna. I could drink a lot of this.

Bottled (from beerangel.de). Deep golden colour (almost coppery) with big off-white creamy/foamy head. Aroma is bready malts, some fruity and metallic notes as well as quite earthy and herbal notes. At first the metallicness was strong, but vanishes, as the beer gets to stand for itself for a while. Flavour is bready malts along with caramel malts, some slight wooden bitterness and also nuttyness and both some floral and fruity hops. Not really that viennaish for anything but the flavour, but then again, very hard to place in any category. As it warms up it gets some slight burnt wet wooden notes. Probably one of the most interesting beers I’ve had from Germany.

Had an old bottle I guess a while ago and gave it a 3/5. Recently on tap at Deep Ellum and this beer damn near blew me away. .4 liter mug. Pours a bright clear coppery light amber with a massive fluffy lasting white cloudy head. Aroma is nicely sweet tons of Vienna and munch toasty fresh malts bready, adn a touch of light floral herbal hallertauer hops. Beautifully smooth full doughy fresh malt flavor, bready pils behind a nice fresh vienna lightly burnt toast, slight toffee, nuts and light floral and zesty hop notes towards the slightly bitter finish. Damn smooth and easy to drink- went great with my breakfast. Great beer, although i cant say this tasted like any other vienna in the world. More like a mix between a dunkel and a helles I guess?

Bottled, 500ml, from Real Supermarket, Bamberg. Amber with white head. Looked good, but the flavours were somewhat disappointing, there was a wet cardboard taste initially, leading to a flattish caramel malt taste. A touch on the sweet side with a little roasty coffee note in the finish. More challenging than it should have been, but ok in the end.

Clear tea brown with plenty of visible carbonation and a nice soapy light tan head. Nose is fruity, caramel, and toffee. Flavor is nut, fruit, caramel, spice, and a mild hop profile. Feel has some nice zing and is medium bodied. It is straightforward and enjoyable. A decent Vienna

From the 5 liter can. Nice amber color. A rich aroma of fruits, caramel, toffee. Thick, rich malt favor with tons of caramel, butterscotch, and toffee, fruits, a bit of cardboard. Smooth, mild. This started off fantasticly, but got very cloying as I worked my way through the pint.

Bottle. Caramel color with a nice off-white head. Low malty aroma. Malty, caramel, slight grass flavor. Medium body. Lingering slightly sweet caramel malt flavor with a bit of grass and mineral tones.

Una lager un po’ più semplice (e meno fragrante) della Barock Hell, per festeggiare non so quale anniversario dalla nascita del birrificio. Assaggiata alla spina alla Bierhaus.

Clear golden with medium white head. Sweet malty aroma with grainy notes. Sweet malty flavour with caramel and grainy hints. Ends sweet.

50 cl bottle. Very rich and thick, white lasting head. Golden-yellow very clear. Sweete aroma, malty and caramel notes, but maybe too light; hint of honey and some faint hoopy notes on the background. The taste is more strong (not too much) and the malty sweetness is well balanced by a hoppy bitterness which remains in the aftertaste. Medium ody and lightly fizzy. Very drinkable and relaxing.
