Sweet and spicy aroma with light caramel and a little bread crust and cardboard. Clear light brown-amber under an off-white cover. Flavour is a gentle cross between a Helles and a Dunkles, with some sweet base malt together with a little, cardboard/bread crust brown malt flavour. Delicate. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, light nutty finish.

Bottle from the Whidbey Beer Works. Pours amber with a foamy white head. Strong malty aroma, but mellow and caramel. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Lightly caramel with a good dose of hop bitter for flavor. The level of bitter makes it a very tasty beer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It’s a fairly solid lager, just on the edge of being metallic & thin but just about avoiding this to end up with a pleasant lager. The finish pulls it round, a nice slightly biscuity weighty flavour that transforms this from disappointing to, an acceptable little lager
