beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JAN 4, 2005
Pours a darker amber with a fast falling off-white head that leaves thick lacing behind. This brew is very sweet and malty thick. Lots of warm melted caramel in the aroma along with a light spicing. Taste starts very warming and sweet malty and the very minimal carbonation leaves thick brew feeling very heavy and syrupy. Honey and caramel carry through the taste with just a light finishing bitterness that doesn’t even try to balance the big maltiness of this brew.

Copper body under thick white head. Sweet malty aroma. Thin and watery in the mouth. The flavor was sweet and spicy and very unremarkable.

Clouded amber, modest head formation. Mild aroma, fruity, honey and caramel. Toasted, biscuity malt palate, mild caramel, fairly sweet overall.

Bottle. Pours a hazy peach-amber color with a large sudsy off-white head. Aroma is fruity malts, hints of apricot, and citrus hops. Flavor is also very sweet and yeasty with a tart hoppiness and biting finish that ended up tasting kind of metallic and unpleasant as it warmed. Medium body and little to no carbonation.

Bottle. Sweet pale malts, followed by a bitter dry finish (hops). Floral hops, tangerine and pear. Soft moutthfeel. Not one of Weltenburgers better beers, but still pretty decent.

Pours a hazy copper colour with a massive, rich foamy head. Sweet, fruity malt aroma. A fine malty taste withsome caramel notes, mild hops and a kind of fruty finish. Very refreshing. Medium bodied and beautiful mouthfeel. I almost didn’t want to swallow this stuff and keep that taste going on forever. A fine Vienna. I’ve got to get more of this!

Deep golden color with a white head. The taste is maltyness with some earthy notes. A little boring imho.

Ungstrup (29694) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 14, 2004
A dark orange beer wth a fine white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and so is the flavor, but the body is thin. I had expected much more from this one.

Kinz (3347) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JUN 14, 2004
Dark gold, rapidly fading head. Aroma of soggy bread and a hint of molasses. Flavor is initially sweet, bready, with a faint note of figs, and a bit of bitterness on the finish that I guess was supposed to balance the sweetness. Reminded me of a bock. I don’t like bocks.

madsberg (10435) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAY 26, 2004
Bottled: Golden coloured. Clear. Off white dense and lasting head. Malty and light hoppy aroma. Flavour is full, malty, light hoppy and light fruity. Has a light chocolate note. I vague bitter and smooth in the end. Nothing special.
